Yellow roses: all shades of amber

Two years ago we bought in a specialist garden center a plant of  yellow roses, an Amber Cover.

The buds rich and fragrant, fleshy flowers with ruffled petals and rich shades from amber to mustard to orange won my hearth right away, with their mild and strong scent, slightly spicy.

The first time I tried to do some winter pruning cuttings, wondering if the salt air coming from the sea during the frequent south west wind (named libeccio)  would damage the birth of a new shrub.yellow roses at La Casa di Ulisse b&b

Two years later, those first cuttings, protected from the winter winds and summer  parching heat, grown in pots and then transplanted into the ground, have become lush plants and color of amber, orange and sun in our garden
